Pete and Eddy's Patented Maxibon Locator Indicator

I bloody love Maxibons. Best ice cream in the world.

Get one. Just... just trust me. GET ONE.
The problem with Maxibons is that they're really hard to find. Very few places stock them. The places that don't stock them are idiots and charlatans, for Maxibons are the tastiest ice cream snack. In the Ice Cream world's sub-genre of Pre-Packaged Ice Cream Sandwich, they are at the forefront.

Yet so bloody difficult to find. Arguably, the sense of achievement in finding a Maxibon adds to the flavour: a certain extra sweetness, a sweetness bursting with the taste of triumph and raw human endeavour. To find a Maxibon is to feel touched by the gods of fate. For a Maxibon does not flaunt itself, dancing around on street corners for your attention, oh no. It waits to be discovered, sitting quietly in the corner of an far away newsagent, knowing that only the lucky chosen few will have the chance to bury their teeth into its mysterious chocolate borders.

Hah. I said 'mysterious chocolate borders'.

Anyway. What the world needs, is a helping hand discovering the thing. And thus:

These are all places within about a mile of Friern Barnet, where I used to live. Before we set off on our trip, we had to decide what to do if we found a number of stores selling Maxibons. For Pete and Eddy's Patented Maxibon Locator Indicator to be truly accurate, we'd have to buy a fresh Maxibon at each place that had them. Anything less would be dishonest, and we would be failing in our duty to provide you, the public, with a means to locate the delicious bastards.

Unfortunately my dreams of gluttony-disguised-as-vital-service were in vain, because... well, just look:
